DATE: April 4, 1999
TIME: 9:30 P.M.
LOCATION: West Virginia, Putnam County
TERRAIN:Wooded with grassy marsh area
OBSERVED: While taking a drive, my husband and I spotted something about 100 yards ahead of us in the middle of the road. It was on all fours and looked like a bear to me at first. As we got closer I saw that it was white in color. We were about 30 feet away from it when it got up on two legs and started to howl. It then turned around and ran into the woods on the other side of the road. Never stopping our car, we sat in silence for about 10 minutes. I was crying and my husband turned to me and asked if I saw what he saw. We have never taken a drive on that road again.
ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES): Taking the kids for a drive trying to get them to sleep. By the time we reached the area of the sighting the kids were all sleeping. My husband was looking straight ahead and I was looking out my window moments before.
DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE: White in color, with a large mouth and weighed about 350 pounds. It was able to walk on two legs and also on all fours with great speed. It was almost human-like when it stood on two legs.
