TIME:     Around 9 p.m.

LOCATION:   Wayne County, West Virginia

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:    Brother #1 just phoned me to say that he had just heard a repeat of the scream/roar/growl that he and I heard nearly four years ago. This was around 9 p.m. and dark outside. He said he had just gotten home and had several things to get out of his van, and had slammed the van door several times, before going inside. The last time he slammed the door, is when he hear the roar/growl. He said the scream sounded the same as the one we heard before. He said it was "big and loud" and ended with the "werewolf" growl. He said it frightened him pretty badly and he hurried on to the house to the safety of the inside. He said that it seemed to come from my hillside which overlooks his place. He was surprised that I didn't hear it. But I was watching TV and had the sound up pretty far. I did tell him that a few minutes prior, I had been upstairs in my house, and I kept hearing a dull thumping noise similar to someone playing basketball from a distance away. This had gone on for some 15-20 minutes and I was unable to discern what was making the noise.

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments On 5/26/2001 I received this from the witness:
Brother #1 called around 11 p.m. He was sitting on his screened back porch and we chatted awhile and then he asked me if I could hear a noise that seemed some distance away but he could not discern if it was a dog or something else, or which fork of the hollow it came from. The dogs were barking a lot between these yells. I listened from my upstairs window and I began hearing more than just the dogs barking. The scream reminded me very much of recordings that I had heard on the internet that are supposed to be BF. They sounded like "wailing yells" for better description.  From what I heard I pinpointed the sound to be coming from the side of the hollow where Brother #1 used to live, I therefore moved to that side of the house and opened the window, but I could hear little apart from the barking of the dogs. Brother #1 said he had not penned up his two sheep and decided that they may be in danger and got into his van and drove up there to take a look. When he arrived all the dogs were barking profusely and then all went dead quiet, except for one yell that I heard, but I was not able to say exactly what it was. Then I heard the "whooing" sounds by one animal in a repetitive pattern of 6-7 "Whoos" and the other animal answered back some 4 "Whoos" and this sounded like to me that it was on the hillside behind Brother #2's house between me and him. But when I asked Brother #1 if he had heard it, he said "No", but admitted he was a bit fearful and had kept his windows up and locked the short drive up and back from his old place. This happened around 12:30 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2011. I went to bed and sleep shortly thereafter and heard nothing more, due to the fan that is going on these muggy nights.
