LOCATION: Elkins, West Virginia, USA, Randolph County
TERRAIN: Wooded
OBSERVED: I was walking in the woods doing some basic bird watching, And i heard a loud scratching noise, It sounded like a bear scratching against a tree only louder, I walked around and in a distance i saw a large creature.
ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES): I was walking in the woods doing bird watching about 15 miles in the woods off the street. I heard the noice and i was curious to see what it was, I walked about 200 feet to my west, and i walked behind a large tree and then to my north i saw the animal. I quickly took out my binoculars and watched the animal.
DESCRIPTION
OF CREATURE: The animal was
very large 7 feet tall maybe and had the basic look of a man, It was very
hairy with a dark brown colored hair. Its shoulders were very broad
and it walked slumped over. Its arms looked longer almost reaching
to the ground. It walked very slowly and many times stopped to straightened
up and look around as if searching for something.
