TIME:
Around 1:00 pm
LOCATION:
Nicholas County, West Virginia
TERRAIN:
Mountain covered with forest
OBSERVED:
I was crow hunting with a friend and he went over the hill with the four
wheeler and left me to watch the field so as I waited I tried to imitate
different animal calls and all of a sudden I heard this high pitched whooping,
similar to that of some of the bigfoot recordings I heard on the discovery
channel so I tried to imitate ( which i now think was a stupid idea, and
it seemed to answer back after much noise from the top of the mt. but it
sounded closer so i tried it again and the same thing happened except closer
and the call had a different pattern to it, its hard to explain but
this went on for a little while until it sounded like it was just above
me at the top of the mountain when my friend came back with the four wheeler
and I think that must have scared it off because I heard a lot of rustling
at the top and ten nothing my friend thinks I'm crazy but It sounded almost
like some of the big foot recordings I've herd but he says it was probably
a coyote or a bird which it may have been but i had heard that call before
and i never did think it was a bird or some animal, I just thought you
guys might want to know.
Activities of Witness:
It was a cold snow day so we were of from school and we just wanted to
get out of the house and hunt some thing.
