DATE:    April 22, 2008

TIME:     10:00 A.M.

LOCATION:   New Hanover County, Carolina beach state park, Carolina Beach, North Carolina

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:    I was walking on an incline over the cape fear river, when I heard a scream like as if a pig was getting slaughtered. This grabbed my attention and I searched for the source. I soon came upon what looked like a small naked black man. I thought maybe this person was in trouble so I moved in closer, that's when I realized that this was not a human. I yelled out holy $#it and the creature heard this and dove into the water as I ran back up the hill just about $#itting my pants.

Activities of Witness:   Walking on an incline over the cape fear river

Description of Creature:  The overall color of this thing was dark brown with leathery looking skin. It was about four feet tall with small little arms.  Its face was sunken in with little brown eye's.  It had the body of a large child.  The creature was standing on the river side breathing heavy..

Other Notes:    The thing looked like a mutant walking sea cow and could really scream.

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    I have heard stories of a swamp man that lives further up the river.

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments N/A
