LOCATION:
On route to hecla golf course in a hecla provincial park located On the
south end of lake Winnipeg 160 miles north of Winnipeg MANITOBA.
TERRAIN:
Wooded
OBSERVED:
This encounter was 20 plus years ago ,myself and 3 friends were driving
in the afternoon on the way to play golf at the hecla golf club.I was upfront
in the passenger seat,we were driving along having some fun as we were
all in our early 20 s when i noticed a large black cat prance across the
road maybe a 100 yards ahead. THE CAT just crossed the road and disappeared
into the bush. I was not alarmed in any way and no one else seemed to notice
and I never gave it a second thought.20 years later after reading about
the sasquatch video in norway house i started looking in to strange sightings.I
have never seen a sasquatch or anything like it but I always remembered
my cat sighting and after searching I realized that LARGE BLACK CATS are
not usually seen around here. This was no brown spotted mountain lion this
thing was black as night.I was amazed how graceful the big cat crossed
the road.

Description of Creature:
It was 20 plus years ago and at least 100 yards away maybe more. The cat
seemed to be 20 inches high and 4 ft long. Black shiny coat .At the time
my first reaction was ,wow I have just seen a black panther cross the road.
