Between 4 pm. and 5 pm.
LOCATION:
Alabama, Coffee County
TERRAIN:
Edge of business district and undeveloped property
OBSERVED:
My wife and I were leaving the Lowe's parking lot . I noticed a black cat
running across the inner two lanes of the circle. As a joke , I said, There
goes Tyler (our black house cat). We were both looking as the cat crossed
the outer two lanes in front of a mid sized car. That's when I realized
how big it was. It was as long as the car was wide, maybe four and a half
to five feet. After it crossed the highway it ran into a construction area
and disappeared.

Description of Creature:
With the sun almost behind it. The animal appeared very dark or jet black
with no stripes or spots. It had a long thick tail and heavy body.
Other Notes:
I was about one hundred twenty yards away, and the animal crossed a space
of one hundred yards in ten or twelve seconds.
Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments: Upon contact the witness had no additional information to add to this report.
