LOCATION:  Island of Tasmania

TERRAIN:  Wooded

OBSERVED:   I don't know if a report of sightings of the purposed extinct Tasmanian Tiger would count for incounters with unknown creatures and big foot, but I'll tell it anyway. My husband and I  were hiking in the woods of the island of Tasmania while we were on vacation. We were laughing, having a good time, when a dog-like creature crossed the trail.  It was a dark brown with lighter brown stripes, it was about the size of a dog, but it looked like a cat.  It wasn't so much scary as it was exciting.  Well after seeing that, we turned around on the trail, went to our car and drove to the police station to report it.  I'm not sure if anyone else has seen it since then.

 ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   Hiking on trails in the woods.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   It was as big as a medium sized dog, but it looked like a cat.  It was dark brown with lighter brown tiger stripes.  It was on all fours

OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA:   I know there has been sightings before this and probably after it too.  I don't know if there has been any sightings in the area where me and my husband saw it.
