LOCATION:    Near Granite Falls, Washington, Snohomish County

TERRAIN:      Mountainous, Rain forest type Woods

OBSERVED:    I have been a 'Closet Bigfooter' for many years. Always kept it kind of quiet until I found your web site. Now I know I'm not alone.

Was visiting a dear friend who lives near Granite Falls WA., on top of a mountain in an extremely remote area. He had been having several ongoing strange occurrences while building his house the last 3 years. These include piles of rocks and teepee constructions built in front of his bull-dozer at night. He would come out in the morning to do more clearing and the structures would be there.  He is a non-believer, and just thought some of the locals were messing with him. Another good friend of mine and I finally decided to go up there and check it out. We only had two days and only got to really hike around his place for a day. One thing that struck me when we were hiking, was the incredible rain forest we were in.

We are both from Texas and until you have been in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, you haven't really been in the woods. We both commented that there could be a 100 Bigfoot's within a hundred yards of us in all directions and we wouldn't see anything unless they were right in front of us.

We finally arrived at a deep ravine with a stream going through it that we could see from the top of the mountain of my friends place. We found a huge nest. It had smaller trees bent down to form a dome and soft, deliberate nesting material inside. It was huge and had obviously been made by something. We got in the nest, but couldn't smell anything or find any hairs. I have pictures and a video of the nest. I have always been a nature boy and animal lover, but for the life of me, I can't explain any other animal that could build something like this.

My friend said there are some caves near by, but we couldn't find them. I'm going back in a couple of months when I have more time to investigate. One more little tid-bit, my friend said his girlfriend would never spend the night up there again. I asked him for months for an explanation as to why, and he wouldn't tell me until one night when he had a few. He said very early in the morning, something huge got on his roof and stomped around, then he heard it jump off the roof and crash into the under growth.....he doesn't like to talk about it either.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   The last night I was there, I was by myself, as my buddy had a return flight the day before. I was staying in a very small shack; no electric, water, etc., and was separate from my friends house. Something came down the side of the hill and started circling my shack. It never walked across the path of the window, but I have never felt so scared in my life. It was the creepiest feeling I've ever had.....can't really explain other than I knew something was messing with my mind.
