LOCATION:   Douglas County, Washington 
 

TERRAIN:    National Forest 
 

OBSERVED:    I am not to sure of the month or date. I took my wife to a black powder gun show on a saturday, you know a daniel boone pilgrim look a like camp. the show was not as good as before gatherings. so we went for a drive toward crow canyon. as i took a right handed corner. i saw a very large animal at first i thought a bear. with excitement and pointing it out to my wife. then i noticed it was on two feet moving very fast. it disappeared into the trees. then fear set in the hair on my neck stood up we left as fast as we could. 
 

Activities of Witness:   1988 went to a black powder gun show. in camas meadows.  I was riding with my husband when we came upon a clearing where we were turning around and I saw a tall Tan dirty looking animal that was walking on two legs and moving very fast. 
 

Description of Creature:  Long dark tan hair. no snout like a bear. long stride not running but very fast.

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    As much as we love the area we have never been back to that spot again. I used to 4x4 that area and clockum and the number 2 canyon. Plan to return with Quad and camera this summer "08".
 
 

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments Yes neither one of us are drinkers or smokers. We were not drunk nor high, My husbands family says if he had a totem it would be a bear. He knows bears,  you'll never convince us it was a bear.
