Online Report Submission Form.
DATE: 12/27/79
TIME: 2-3:00 pm
LOCATION: Lunenberg County, Virginia
LOCATION 2 hwy xx.
TERRAIN: Wooded
OBSERVED: Took three boys
camping, two of them saw a large, hairy creature with
huge shoulders and long arms
looking at him as they were messing around down by
the creek, they ran, it turned
and "walked away up the slope". Took
them back to verify their
'story', found physical evidence to suggest take what
they saw was a bigfoot (
leaftorn impressions, print of 14-16 inch foot, rotten
pine log peeled apart with
finger impressions from huge hand) I had each of them
separately pencil sketch what
they saw, almost exactly alike, still have the
drawings.
Activities
of Witness:
everything was perfectly quiet.
Description of Creature: Based on comparsion to me
standing next to spot and one of the boys in
place where he first saw the
creature judge creature had to be about 8-9 feet
tall. Hairy, long arms, huge
shoulders, walked with legs apart, steps 6-7 feet
apart, print was deep in heel
and toes barely visible 14-16 inches long, when I
asked them what was it doing
they made wrinkled up faces as though it was trying
to smell or squint at them,
thumbhole on pine log was deeper than my middle
finger and big enough to put both my thumbs in, huge hand
Other Notes: A few nights later in same general area something
came up in xxxxxxxx
near house of great uncle of
one of the boys, he could not see it but could hear
it running back and forth, he
sat in living room chair with shotgun the rest of
the night, would have shot
anything that came up on the porch. Next day, boy and
his grandfather (whom he lived
with) went up to check it out, walked down into
adjoining woods, and along
small stream. They came to place where stream curved
and on small sandbar on other
side(you could step across this)was a huge
footprint, boy pointed it out
and grandfather stepped across and rubbed it out
with his foot telling boy
"there are some things in these woods best left
alone". He had lived
on that farm all his life.
