DATE:  July 30, 2000

TIME:   6:30 - 7:15 P.M.

LOCATION:  Virginia, Bedford County

TERRAIN:  Wooded surrounded by mountains

OBSERVED:    I am only 14 so believe me if you want but I know what I saw.I was on my way to my friends house.I was cutting through a field that had woods all to the left.I heard branches cracking..and noises of that sort..It sounded like someone walking.I turned to look thinking that it might be my friend.I saw a figure walking through the woods with a great stride.I did not have my glasses on so I went closer to see.I saw a tall,brownish figure standing about 7 feet tall.Probably weighing about 300-400 lbs.It had a slightly slanted forehead and a very wide nose.It's hair was probably about 2 inches long.It walked with it's knees slightly bent.It turned briefly and (I guess)looked at me.Then it turned the other way and walked off.I walked to the area that it was at but could not see any footprints because the area was so heavily wooded.I told my friend and my parents..but they didn't believe me.They don't believe in Bigfoot.When I saw this site I knew that I should share my experience.The area is filled with bobcats and bears as well.Also rattlesnakes(in certain parts)
 

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   Walking to a friends house

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   Around 7 ft tall, brownish in color, weighing about 300 - 400 pounds. It had a slightly slanted forehead and wide nose. It's hair was probably about 2 inches long.It walked with it's knees slightly bent.

OTHER NOTES:   I have heard strange sounds around there before but I thought it was a bear.
