Davidson County, Tennessee Bigfoot Sightings

DATE:    April, 1996

LOCATION: Davidson County, Tennessee, Near Percy Priest Lake

TERRAIN: Heavily wooded area, hilly, near a major lake

OBSERVED: Suspicious sounds.
Last spring, I heard some very strange noises one evening in the back. I know it sounds crazy, but the truth is I heard the noises just the same, although I live in a subdivision. It is quite close to Percy Priest Lake, and I am quite an avid bird watcher, have been for more than 20 years. I know bird calls and sounds pretty well, and am especially interested in owls. I know the sound of barn, screech, barred and great horned owls, all of which we have here. What I heard was not an owl. I have no idea what it was, but of that I’m sure, it was a loud whinny sort of sound, obviously coming from some ways off in the distance, toward the woods. Anyway, that’s why I was curious about sounds, since I have heard some recordings in the past.

Other Notes:   Witness after twenty years of listening to bird sounds and hearing some recorded sounds of a bigfoot over the web, believes this is what he heard that night in his back yard.
