TIME:               Evening Hunt

LOCATION:      Minden,  Texas,  Rusk County
 

TERRAIN:        Wooded like thicket
 

OBSERVED:     Me and my cousin was walking back from an evening hunt about between 6 and 7 pm (seems later in woods).   We seen a large animal, looked like a bear but different, stood straighter, and had long arms.  The way the arms would move is what I'll never forgot.  It walked across this dirt road  about 70 yards in front of us.  It stopped momentarily and just looked at us and then went on across the road.  It looked about 8 or 9 foot tall.

After it left, it smelled like skunk or sewage.  We were scared or shocked, hard to tell at the time.  My toes curled, like I saw a snake.  So we ran past the place we seen it and went back to camp.  We left as soon as we got back and never hunted there again.  We did go back the next day to get our stuff.

I was about 16 at the time, my cuz was 17.   We told our grandmother about it.  She said she heard of other people seeing the same thing.  She told us to stay away from there.
 

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):     Just walking back from our stands.  No drinking nor drugs, just a little tired, but we both saw the same thing exactly.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:    Dark brown hair look like a bear kinda, we found out after we told our grandmaw other people had seen the same thing.

OTHER NOTES:   No noise but he did smell a bad oder.  we saw no deer or animals of any kind at all that evening.normaly we would haveseen a coon or squirrel.
