OBSERVED:         A 100 pound feral hog caught in a trap and held at a man's house was lifted over a six foot fence. The man called me because he thought a cougar did it and he contacted the sheriff's department because he initially thought a person killed the hogs since it seemed to vanish into thin air. (This is a small subdivision bordering 13,000 acres of practically virgin forest.) They told him they found "cougar tracks" in the canal that runs near the hog pen. They also found half the body of the hog in the ditch and a large blood trail where something carried the other half of the hog toward the bayou. I visited the area two days after sheriff's people looked at it and found no cougar tracks where they said they found them. I found very obvious dog tracks in that creek bottom and a spot farther down where something was dragged and laid down. A cougar could not have carried a 100-pound hog over this fence. There were no claw marks on the wood of the fence but there was a lot of mud on the outside of the fence where the hog had slid down. There was no mud inside as if something put the hog on top of the fence and let it slide down.

I followed the canal to the bayou and walked under a railroad crossing and found very obvious bigfoot tracks underwater in the edge of the very shallow bayou. I also found an obvious four-toed track which I cast and found a hand print where a bigfoot knuckle-walked and found numerous scrapings like a finger scraping the mud on the steep embankment. They were as wide as my fingers and I could make the same impression raking my fingers down this spot. I found another track coming from the woods 50 yards south of there and found a large trail leaving the woods. All of this was photographed. Also, a deer and coyote carcass were found in the brush near this spot.

OTHER NOTES:       The man who has hunting rights to the 6,000 acre tract next to where the tracks were found said they have a "bear" on their property. I asked him why and he said "We find these strange tracks that have to be bear from time to time."

This kind of scraping was all over the embankment under
the bridge where the knuckle print and footprints were found.
Each mark is a tad big wider than the author's fingers.

This knuckle print matches up almost perfectly
with the investigator's in size. He made his own knuckle
walking print in the mud and it came out very similar.

This very obvious four-toed track came from
out of the edge of the water and was found
near two other tracks and the knuckle print.
