Report Posted To GCBRO Web Site On  October 5, 2012

DATE:    9/2005

TIME:     7:45

LOCATION:   Liberty County, Texas

TERRAIN:    Swampy, Forest, Bayou, Rice Fields

OBSERVED:    Pulling my boat up on the bank after checking my trot lines I felt as I I were being watched, I looked up and across the bayou I could see a dark face looking at me. I couldn't see a body or hair color or anything, just a very dark face. I could see the whites of its eyes, it looked real and not a mask, and it is a remote enough location where I would think a prank would not be pulled. I was 14 at the time, and I hadn't seen or heard of anything prior, and nothing since then. The only thing I can remember strange during that approximate time was an alligator about 8 foot long being ripped in half that I found on the bank, but that is most likely alligator associated activity.

Additional Info:    N/A

Activities of Witness:    Checking trot lines on double bayou

Description of Creature:  Dark almost black face about the size of an average human

Other Notes:    That bayou was extremely fishable and full of life prior to the hurricane, rice fields also drain into the bayou as well

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    No, there was a hurricane that year (Rita) and the bayous dam broke and the bayou is much lower than it was (used to be about 5 feet deep) and now it's 1-3 feet in areas

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments N/A
