OBSERVED:
I joined this group to read about experiences like mine. Anyway,
born hunters and hunted the South Sulphur river bottoms in that area. Tales
of Big Cats in the area were about our only concerns when we ventured out
into the bottoms. All through out my younger years my parents at the end
of the day, at supper, would talk about the ( big hairy thing ) crossing
the road at about the same time of morning, every day, while on their way
to work. Years later, the old homestead sat high on a hill and we had a
great view of the river bottoms and used field glasses to watch 3 of them
crossing the field in a certain area daily and at about the same time.
There appeared to be pop, mom and a younger one. We had been stalked while
hunting but never a face to face confrontation, even being thrown at a
few times and screamed at for getting to close to them in the deeper woods.
Gun shots at game didn't seem to affect them much, we never shot at them
they didn't bother us and because we had cows that roamed the bottoms and
certainly didn't want to make a mistake through the thick timbers.
There is an old bridge on one of the old county roads that we fish off
of when water is in it and the best time to go is late night. In May 2005
myself and a friend with my daughter decided we'd go fishing so we set
up on the bridge around 11pm, caught a couple, it was slow and the wind
was blowing out of the south well enough to keep the skeeters away. After
being so slow we talked and enjoying listening to owls and coyotes off
in the distance, all a sudden across the creek the trees started shaking,
they were shaking large trees wildly and then they started screaming at
us, we screamed back at them, this irritated them and they began throwing
bottles and rocks and large pieces of drift wood and anything they could
find that had been washed down the creek. We had no flash light only lanterns
so we tried to position the car where at that point we could see their
eyes reflect back at us (red). Anyway for my daughters safety we rolled
em up and made several passes back and forth through the bottom and never
saw anybody but us. It is a very isolated area and they aren't any homes
for a ways so, Yes I'm convinced that they still reside in the same area
that they did when I was younger and frequently exploring the bottoms.
WE BELIEVE in BIGFOOT we KNOW they exist!!!!
