REPORT RECEIVED FROMThe Field Research Notes of Bobby Hamilton.

DATE: Wednesday November 27, 2002

TIME: 6:10pm-8:00pm Central Standard Time

LOCATION: Texas, Southeast Area.  Specific Locations not revealed due to ongoing investigations into this specific area.

TERRAIN:   Heavily wooded, with year round supply of water through the many area creeks/streams.

OBSERVED:    I went to one of my private research locations to do a little deer hunting.  Those that know me, know that I do all my deer hunting in areas of high Bigfoot activity, just in case.  ?;o)
Anyway, I got to the location and got myself setup and into my stand just before 4pm, which is later than I would of liked to have been there, but other previous engagements held me up and made me late for my initial arrival time.  I didn't have any luck with the local deer on this particular afternoon but I did manage to see about seven squirrels and a opossum, that waddled right under my tree as he passed by.

It got too dark to see anything, so I worked my way out of my stand and onto the ground, where I was fastening my portable stand together to take it to another location later this weekend.  It was extremely dark in the bottom area that I was hunting and as I was getting the last of my gear organized and ready to exit out of the woods.  All of a sudden, something walked right up towards me and made and abrupt and sudden stop approximately 35 foot or so away.  It did not try to hide its approach, which alarmed me somewhat as to this not being right.  As my close friends know, I use a small very dim flashlight when I deer hunt so as to try and not spook any deer.  So of course when I tried to shine my light to see whatever it was, I couldn't see anything.  Everything was dead still and quiet which kinda made me feel uneasy at this point.  Especially since something had definitely came walking up, and not being quiet in its approach then it made an abrubt stop, yet I did not hear it leave either.  Whatever it was, was still there when I left.  What it was, I do not know for sure.

**NOTE**   I will look when I go back which unfortunately did not happen today (Thanksgiving November 28, 2002).  But on the side it came up from, there is a small stream, so I am going to go back during the daylight hours and look for possible track impressions to see if it left any while crossing the stream.  That is if whatever it was even crossed the stream?   It i possible that it may have worked its way around me before walking up on me?  This could have easily been done while I was working my stand down the tree and I did not hear anything moving around due to the noise I was making.
I am not saying this or the below information is or was for sure a Bigfoot because I did not personally see anything.  Only some strange occurances that happened to me last night while deer hunting in an area of high Bigfoot activity.

Anyway, I worked my way out of the woods and made it back to where I had parked my pick-up, and a friend of mine was there waiting on me.   I told him of what had just happened and he said, "Hey, lets go to this other location not far from there and just see what happens".  He asked if I had my Night Vision which I did have in the gear that was in my pick-up.

**NOTE**   I did not have any night vision gear or any of my other usual Bigfoot hunting gear with me on the deer stand, due to having enough to carry with the stand, rifle and some water I carried with me to the location I was going to setup in to hunt.

Anyway, once he found out I had my Night Vision in my pick-up, he said he had a rechargeable spotlight and the deal was for us to go sit out and if anything came up close and I seen it with the Night Vision he would shine it with his spotlight.  Then we could get a good look at this thing.
By now it was a little after 7 PM.  So, I shed some of my heavier clothes and strapped on my sidearm as well as grabbed my rifle again and we worked our way into a location about 200 yards to the East of the location from where I had setup my stand earlier.  We were there for about 15 minutes when about 300 yards at most from the Northeast of us and also directly behind from where I had setup my initial stand, something made 5 loud and really deep bellowing roar type moans, that would fade out at the end ending with a growl type sound.

**NOTE** I know for a fact that there is no cows or any other livestock in this specific or general area, and from where the sounds came from is nothing but deep dark bottom land.  I am also familiar with native animal sounds as well as many that are not native to this area, and this sound is not remotely similar too or related to any of the native animals that I know of.

Anyway it would sound off, then it would be quiet for about 10 seconds, then it would repeat itself all over again.  Each one would last approximately 8-10 seconds.  These roars/moans were very loud and echoed throughout the bottoms.  My friend who has spent an enormous amount of his life hunting remote areas, from the bottoms of Louisiana over into Texas as well as some other states as well, looked at me and said "I've hunted in deep woods all my life, and heard everything from bear's to panthers and everything in between, but I ain't never heard anything like that before, what do you think it is"?  I told him, that "Eventhough I didn't see it doing it, and had only heard it just as he did, that I did have a really good idea that I knew what it is".

After waiting a little while (approximately 30 minutes), we decided to walk through the trails and see what we could come up on.   In the process and excitement of the previous events, we got somewhat turned around.  We were not lost, as we knew the direction of the vehicles, we just could not find a decent passable area to get from one of the trails to another and got off track in a dense section while switching trails.  We finally found some recognizable trees, that got us to the correct path we needed, and made our way into the area where it was initally sounding off.  My friend was using his flashlight to illuminate the path we were walking on, so he was in front of me.  I seen something right as he stepped into it and I told him to "STOP".  But it was too late, as he had just messed up a decent footprint that was approximately 19-20 inches long.  Due to some recent rains in the area that part of the ground was fairly soft and it was definitely an easily recognizable footprint, that I noticed right quick just from a glance and the outter edges of his flashlight beam.  After he messed it up, it was hard to tell exactly, the number of toes it had.  So other than the big toe, I cannot say for sure, but it appeared to possibly have 5 toes.  Because the size of the big toe with the size of the front of the foot, was not like the 3 toed tracks I have seen before.  Anyway, like I said, he stepped in it and messed it up because he wasn't looking down at the ground as he walked.

This would have been one casting I would have been proud to cast, as it was definitely a nice one, alot nicer than most I have seen.

Anyway, other than the footprint, we didn't see or encounter anything while in the area.   But when we was exiting the area, where this thing had sounded off earlier, and we was on the trail out, we got about 40 yards away from there and something screamed at us 2 times real quick.  This was from where we had just been.  The sound it made was a mix between a bark, a scream and a yell all in one.  This was also a sound that neither of us had never heard before.  It was definitely a demanding tone and it gave me the impression that it was more of a frustrated type of scream/yell, in the way it just blurted it out.  Just all of a sudden and abrubtly and out of nowheres.  Like it was trying to convey the message "Arrrgggghhhh, get the he## out of here and don't come back.  I immediatly looked at my friend when it did this and said "Well I guess he didn't like us coming into his living room with our shoes on and muddying up his floor"!  We both got a little chuckle from that comment.  After a little bit we didn't hear anything else, so we decided to go ahead and work out way on out to the vehicles.

Several times on the way out my friend kept stopping and saying to me "Something is following us over here on this side of the path"!  He was on my left hand side and it was to his left.  I did not hear anything.  But he did this on 3 occasions on the way out, insisting that something was walking in the woods on his side of the path.  Like I said, I did not hear anything over there, so I don't know.

The events that happened was definitely very cool and exciting to say the least.

I initially intended to go back today on Thanksgiving to do some follow-up field work, but didn't manage to make it out of here in time, before dusk set in, so I called it off today due to not being able to get in there with plenty of light to look for footprints.
So I plan to make a return trip tomorrow the day after Thanksgiving and look around and also to see if I can get some recordings of the sounds it makes.  Hopefully it will sound off again and I can get a good recording to add to this report.

Activities of Witness:   Deer hunting

Description of Creature:   None given, only sounds

Other Notes:   I returned to the area on Friday evening November 29,2002.  I was later than I had intended and did not get to get into the woods to look around for any tracks or get into my deer stand.
Anyway, it was around 5:00 pm when I arrived and soon there after I was met by my friend again.  He was accompanied by a couple of young teenagers who were some of his relatives.
He told me of an incident that had happened that morning.
He and two of his relatives were sitting in the area we had sat in on November 27.  It was around 6:30 am, and to the East of this location approximately 100 yards away (and down the one trail we had walked on just two night before) that something big had made one loud scream that lasted about 7 seconds or so.  The two young men with him both agreed that they all took notice of this sound, because it was so close to them and it was extremely loud.   Their description was the same sound we had heard two nights before, except this time it had a gargling type of sound mixed in with it.

Anyway, I stayed out there until 9:00 pm and it started to rain pretty heavily on my equipment so I loaded up my gear and left.  I want to note that during my time there on Friday November 29, 2002, that I heard the sound once again, but further to the East and it only did it one time.  I also heard a couple of screams down in the bottom area where it had screamed at us on the evening of Wednesday November 27.

I am going to continue to work the area and hopefully get some good audio recordings to post as an addition to this report or another one listed in this section.

Additional Notes or Comments: As stated above, this location is under current investigation and as often as possible, I will return there and post any new findings or evidence to the web site in the current area for Texas.
