LOCATION:  Pittsburg, Texas, Camp County

TERRAIN:  Wooded
 

OBSERVED:    Numerous sightings by four members of the family, including myself, over a period of four years. First encounter was when my twin sons and their friend went bike riding down this road on a Saturday afternoon.  The were taking turns going down a hill, coasting...and waiting at the bottom for the others.  Todd, one of my sons, went first...He coasted down and around several curves.  As he started up a hill, he looked up in time to see a large creature, dark brown, step right foot first into the road.  He slammed his breaks on, stopping within 75 feet of this creature.  The creature turned and looked at him.  Bolted and with two steps was across
the road and over a fence into the woods.  My son went into shock and when the others came down they say him as pale and shaken.  The all three came home as soon as they could.  I accompanied them out to this area, not really believing that he had seen what he said he had.  To my surprise there was a large footprint right where he said this thing had stepped out.  I went home and came back with a tape measure. The footprint 18 1/2 inches long, 3 1/2 inches across the heel, and 5 inches across the ball of the foot.  We documented this.  In a week or so we met a Dr. Carl Baugh who operates Creation Evidence Museum in Glenrose, Texas.  He made arrangements to come back and bring other Scientist with him.
After this meeting, we bought flashlights and went back out there..this time my three sons and myself.  As we were riding I explained to my oldest we had thought we had seen one come down a tree the day before.  It was around 9 p.m. at this time of our discussion.  As we approached the area, my oldest son, who was about 18 at the time, shined his flashlight in the top of a tall pine tree to see a creature standing on the limb up high.  He described it as blondish in color.  He was so frightened by the sight that he nearly kicked the windshield out of the car.
It scared me so I gunned the car instead of stopping.  Anyway, to shorten the story.  Dr. Baugh came back with three gentlemen.  They concluded that they found enough footprints and evidence to say that there were four creatures living in this area..One large male, one smaller female, an even smaller female and the smallest being a male.  He surmised this information by the width of the feet.  Over the next few years, We learned the creatures habit and we all four in the family, along with some friends, have seen these creatures.  I had a personal run in one Monday when I dropped one of my sons off to put out a tape recorder.  I heard something behind me and saw the blonde one walking toward me, looking at his feet. He got within 75 to 100 feet away from me, without looking up.  I saw his hair flowing down around his face, his face was dark tan, as was his
chest.  The hair struck me as being lovely...looking as if it had been combed around the face.
It resembled a horse's mane.  I finally screamed and when I did, he did an about face without even looking up and bolted down to the creek.  I ran with my son back to the car.  We have heard them when they are angry, we have heard their very low moaning howl, which is their communication.  We have heard their warnings of "ey" when we got too near. And many, many times we have heard their growls.  We moved away from the area and stopped the investigations.  We feel it is better that most people do now know of this because they don't
seem to be violent in any way. They just seem curious.  We don't know if they are still around or not. I have just moved back to the area and intend to do some traveling of the back roads and listening for these familiar sounds.

Activities of Witness:  Bike riding, walking in the woods, putting out tape recorder, riding in cars...numerous
times.
 

Other Notes:   I felt the need to not include all the information with this report, to keep the area free for A.H. to continue investigations into the area without any interference.
 

I have tried to track him down to talk to him but can't.
