LOCATION:      Sparta, White County Tennessee
 
 

TERRAIN:          Abandoned Limestone Quarry
 
 

OBSERVED:    Witness stated that she and her brother had been told by their mother to walk to their Great Uncle's house for an errand...They had taken this same route where this occured, many times in the past, and it was this route that followed the railroad tracks that ran beside an abandonded Limestone Quarry...

On the day that this occured, the witness admitted that she didn't know exactly why they left the tracks that day to venture forth into the abandonded quarry mines, but for whatever reasons they did...She also admitted that she doesn't conciously remember entering the cave, and having recently spoken with her brother on the event, neither did he...The next thing she remembers after leaving the tracks to enter the mines was being back upon the tracks, looking back up on a nearby hill to the mines and seeing what she described as "a huge hair covered Man just standing there staring at us"...She stated that, even though she was young at the time, she now believes the creature to have been over 6 ft. at least, it appearing even larger to her as a child of course...She described it's hairy appearance as Reddish Brown, around 3 inches long and matted in appearance...She also stated that it's face appeared covered in hair as well...
Although she stated repeatedly that she didn't remember walking up on this creature within the mine, nor her brother, I don't see this having any kind of paranormal overtones...Quite the contrary in my own personal opinion...I believe, as others that heard this woman tell her report to me, that she and her brother quite possibly blocked these memories out...She said that this even terrorized her and her brother to such an extent that for years after this occurence, they would run as fast as possible if they had to go near the Quarry.
 

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):    Walking along the railroad tracks which pass by an abandoned Limestone Quarry...They decided to go into the mine and it was there that she believes they ran up on this creature by accident...
 

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   Large, over 6ft and Bipedal...3 inch, matted reddish brown fur...Described the creature as "a Large Hair covered Man"
 

OTHER NOTES:   The witnesses lack of memories of going into, and out of the Quarry Mine...This could be reasonably explained as Trauma due to the amount of fear she emphasised that her and her brother felt after the incident...
 

OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA?:   None that I know of...I'm going into the area within the next week or so to do some field investigating...
