TIME:              Around Midnight

LOCATION:    Shellsford, just outside McMinnville Tennessee,
                  Warren County

TERRAIN:       Wooded area adjacent to a nice size creek
 

OBSERVED:  Witness, a Ms. Katrina XXXXXXX told of what she believes may have been a Bigfoot encounter when she was a senior in High School, in late spring/early summer of 1992...The report goes as follows...

Witness and her then Boyfriend (whom would later become her first husband/now divorced) parked at what is now a boat ramp in Shellsford, located about 3-5 miles outside McMinnville TN city limits...Her and her boyfriend parked there often, as many other young people did to "make out"...On this night in particular, they arrived a little later than usual, due to her not getting off work on time (she was working at Shoney's restaurant as a server at the time she stated)...When they got there, no one else was there, so they parked the car and of course, began the ritual that all Young couples do...It was during this that both heard something very large move near the car, on the passenger side...She stated that her boyfriend moved to look out the window, and as he did "something" growled very low and loud enough to make them think that whatever was responsible, was very close to the car...She then stated that they promptly ceased their love making and left the area...
 

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   "Making Out"
 

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   Heard a very large creature moving near their car, growling sounds experienced.
 

OTHER NOTES:   She described it as sounding a lot like a Huge Dog, but far too loud for any dog she's ever seen to have been responsible.
 

OTHER OTHER NOTES:   One interesting note about this area...this Occured on what's known as the Trail of Tears...The trail cuts through a heavily wooded area nearby and comes out briefly at the Cumberland Caverns Park (2nd Largest Cave system in North America)...There are NUMEROUS Caves in this area, and I can't even begin to over emphasis this point...Cumberland Caverns, for such a large cave, was reported to have been given a wide birth by Native Americans in their day due to "Evil Spirits" and "Beasts" that dwelled within it...Makes You wonder.
 
 
 

OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA?:    There have been rumors of sightings nearby this area (around 15 miles or so), but as for in this vicinity of this occurence, none that I know directly of.
