TERRAIN:
Wooded
OBSERVED: I was contacted via Mary Green concerning possible Bigfoot activity having been reported from an individual in the GCBRO PalTalk...She asked if I'd come into the room and talk to the witness later that night and get as much info as possible (the witness was closer to my location than her own), which I did...
The witness had experienced screams, a foul rotting musty smell, and more recently wood whacking - All of which seemed to be eminating in the large expanse of woods (100+ acres) from behind her and her husband's house...
So, that being now known after I spoke with her, Me and my Bigfooting partner James XXXXXX (and my 8yr old son I might add *l*) arrived at their House at around 1:00 pm to give the place a look over...The witnesses were more than gracious to take us all over the property and allow us to look whereever we liked (and for that I thank them yet again)...
The first thing we were shown, and probably most significant, was a very LARGE bedding area (I'd guesstimate somewhere around 10 ft by 10 ft, possibly a little larger) very close to their house...And when I say very close, I mean within eye shot of the house (at least from the bedding areas prosective)...This automatical surprised me as You can imagine...I mean, here is a HUGE bed, obviously used recently (within the last few days at least) right there behind the house!...
One thing very interesting that was found inside the nest was Polk plants...These polk plants were growing all over this gentleman's property, but at the nest they had been broken over and pulled towards the bedding area, with berries literally laying there in case "it" decided to have a bedtime snack (which it appeared to have done in my opinion)...This was quite the find in and of itself, but then I was told there was yet another one a few yards away...I checked and sure enough another was within about 10 yards of the first...The second one was much smaller than the first (around 6ft by 3-4ft) but appeared to be the same general age as the first...Pictures were taken of both and will be included ASAP...
After checking out the bedding areas we walked down the ridge on which the house is located on (the owner recieving many, many, briar bites I might add) and to which I both apologize for and once more give thanks for being so willing to help us)...After walking down the ridge a ways, we decided to attempt a different approach to get to the meadow below (the briar thickets were pretty impassable in many spots)...It was at this time that we came across a large trail (much too large for deer or wild pigs, even if walking side by side *l*) and We followed it up the ridge to within Yards of the same bedding area we first found...
It appeared (to myself at least) that this was the trail being used to get near the house whenever the Bigfoot's curiosity got the better of him/her...After much slipperyness of feet and warring with briar patches we made it to the meadow below where they once kept many heads of livestock (mosty cattle)...I was then told that the family would often hear the Cattle "going crazy" in the early morning hours (many times) and that he (the Owner) had lost at least 3 cows in the last 3-4 yrs, all of which were found with blood coming out of their mouths and nostrils as if either having been bludgeoned or their necks broken...
The Owner said he never noticed any wounds on the side of the animal, yet always wondered just what exactly happened to these animals and why it always seemed to happen (the Cattle being killed) around the middle-late fall...Besides the Cattle being killed, he also mentioned that he'd "lost" many dogs over the years that just simply vanished, as well as one goat that also vanished suddenly (note-he did mention that the goat may have been stolen by someone that had offered to buy it previously)...
After checking the pond for track signs and not finding any, I made my way around the pond to look for anything suspicious...This is when my partner and I found what looked like another trail of some sort...Following it we found ourselves led to two Apple Trees, both of which had expansive trampled areas underneath...Now I know that almost any wild animal would take apples if they were given the chance...But, the reason I believe this to be related is the following - The trail picked up from the apple trees and went back towards the pond, crossing the barbed wire fence between the tree and the pond...The barbed wire fence had been (literally) pulled down to a great degree, allowing myself to step over it rather easily...We looked down the length of the fence, seeing that just a few dozen yards up the fence it was as it should be...It was only pulled down nearing the pond and just in front of the apple tree...
My partner, James, went to check out what looked like freshly trampled grass just off from the trail we'd just found...And after looking under a half downed pine tree, he found what looked suspiciouly like many of the "nests" shown in many of the pics on the GCBRO and other Bigfoot related sites...The grass and ground had been neatly flattened and seemingly worn into a comfortable position by "something"...We then went back onto the far property scouting out anything else suspicious of Bigfoot activity, but found nothing...Let it be noted that a Tornado had passed through this property in 1997 (4 yrs prior to this investigation) and the extent of some of the tree damage on certain parts of the property made it virtually impossible to recognize anything that may have been Bigfoot related (Limb formations/Tree Breaks/ect.)...Let it also be noted that the property borders a GREAT expanse of very isolated and goverment owned woodlands...No one lives on this land at all, and the owner of the property told me that he didn't even believe there to be any access roads into most of it...
All
in all I was convinced beyond any doubt that there IS Bigfoot activity
on going on this families land, and after asking permission and being granted
it, I plan on making a further venture into the area looking for more evidence...
OTHER NOTES: The family whom owns the property talked extensivly about how their Dogs would become very aggitated in the early morning hours...Barking, whining and pacing...Sometimes in one general area as if keeping an eye out for something they sensed nearby...
Follow
up: It was obvious that
there were some hunters in the woods that day (distantly)...
