LOCATION:    North Carolina/Tennessee/Gatlinburg    
                    Sevier County Tennessee

TERRAIN:     Mountains,  Very wooded area.  40 west, Cherokee Mountains

OBSERVED:    I dont want to be called a liar..or crazy.  ""I came face to face with bigfoot.""         I'm at least 6 foot tall. This creature was over 8 foot. "" Standing straight..humped just a little..not much. They tell you not to leave food out side. It will attract bears...well a bear isn't what I came across. I had gotten a pizza the night before."" I told my wife I'm going to put a slice out side just to see if a bear comes up. Thought I might get lucky and see one up close."" I have always believed in bigfoot...always."" Had always as a child wanted to see the creature or maybe even hunt him one day when I grew up. Well after 20 some years I got my wish..but a little to close."" Im not a liar like I said before."" The only reason I'm telling this to you is because, I'm tired of people laughing when I talk about it.""

I wasn't the only one to see it.....I just came across your web site last night. "" Ive tried to get the news to do something with my story..but they just think it's funny."" Who will believe that they said?"""" So I'm telling this to you hoping something will be done to help me get my story out."" That night around 2:30 in the morning I heard something on the porch of the cabin we had rented."" I told my wife I bet it's a bear. Nope it wasn't!!

I went to the door and looked out..I saw that the slice of pizza I left out there was gone."" Damn I thought..I wanted to see the bear."" I opened the door slowly thinking that it might still be out there some where."" There a street light out there so it was totally dark...all most. I walked off the porch slowly looking around." Didn't see anything. I walked over to my car looked around some more, still nothing. It had been raining was a little foggy. I turned around to go back up the steps....and there it was!!!!! It gives me cold chills to even type this."" It was dark black...thick fur...dirty looking. I wasn't no more than 15 feet from it."" I didn't know what to do??""

 I was right at my car but it was locked. But as close as I was to the creature if I had ran it could of  grabbed me very quick!""" I know your thinking this guys crazy....I'm not, I swear to you this is true."" It just stood there.  It was breathing very heavy...it started backing up, like it was scared of me?"" Scared of me....yea!!!  It backed up very slowly. I just stood there. It got about 25 feet from me when I started up the steps. The porch was a rap around." It turned and started to the other side. When I got around the side of the porch it was gone. It had to of jumped the railing. I could hear it running through the woods."" Like I said, I don't lie...I have no reason to. If you want to talk about this...or would like to help me do something with it just email me..

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESSES:   Gone outside looking for a bear.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   8 foot tall, standing straight up, maybe humped over a little.
OTHER NOTES:     Other people I talked with the next day saw it too.   One guy said he saw it through his telescope...another woman said she caught sight of it running through the woods

OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA:    I'm not sure...haven't been back up there yet.
