TIME:

LOCATION:
Haywood County, Tennessee
TERRAIN:
Wooded
OBSERVED:
While Fishing, we noticed an extremely large quantity of fish lying on
the banks of XXXX Lake which is deep in the XXXXX bottoms. Around
sundown, we approached the boat ramp and noticed several more large fish
on the bank about 25 feet from the ramp. I walked around the edge
of the lake and retrieved two gar. The fish were fully intact but
had been sliced down the belly and the meat taken off the bones.
Having never seen anything of this nature, I placed the fish into the back
of my truck to take into town so I could inquire of the older wiser men
of what had eaten these fish. After placing the fish in the truck,
I proceeded to load the boat at which time I heard footsteps coming from
the area where I had retrieved the fish. I turned around and saw
a large black figure on 2 feet and when i turned it ducked behind a tree
like a person would do. I grabbed my spotlight and revolver from
the truck, but was unable to locate the mysterious creature. The
road is one way so there is no chance of there having been someone else
present. Also, no man in my town can explain what happened to the fish.
I still have the fish at my house, hoping someday someone can explain what
ate them in that manner.
Activities
of Witness: Fishing-no alcohol
or drugs involved.
Description
of Creature: Almost like a dark
shadow. Black about 4-5 feet tall. Walked on 2 legs.
It was smart enough to hide behind a tree.
Other
Notes: On other occasions
in the same location we have used predator calls and night vision goggles.
2-3 times we have heard horrible screams and calls from this particular
section of the bottoms. Being an avid hunter and fisherman, I cannot
explain what I am hearing.
Other
(Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:
Yes-we have heard strange calls but as of yet have been unable to see anything
else.
