Report
Received From: The GCBRO Online
Report Submission Form.
DATE:
September 27, 2003
TIME:
12:45 A.M.
LOCATION:
Hardeman County, Tennessee
TERRAIN:
Swamps, Woods, and Pastureland all within 100 yard
OBSERVED:
I was in a tent with my son, who was asleep, at about 12:45 A.M., when
I heard three yells in succession. The yells were coming from approximately
200-300 yards to the southeast of our camp. I believe this to come
from a bigfoot. Unfortunately I was the only one still awake among
nine campers in four tents. Then, at about 1:00 A.M., I could hear
footsteps just outside my tent. I figured that it was some of the neighbors'
pulling a prank. After a couple of minutes the prankster(s) was/were
gone. I decided to step out of my tent, but I didn't see nor hear
anything. When we woke up the next morning we found one of the girls'
fishing rods had been moved from underneath a table to right behind my
tent. At least three of the other campers heard some vocalizations
around 5:00 A.M. coming from the woods about 75 yards to the east of us,
but I was still asleep. Three months later I had a conversation with
the neighbors and they all denied being at our camp after midnight.
The landowner's son told
me that the neighbors had told
him the same thing. What struck me as being peculiar was if the neighbors
were pulling a prank then why didn't they do more, and knowing them very
well they would have gone a safe distance away and yell at us afterwards.
They would have also said something about it the next day, but it didn't
happen. Then I read on your web site about bigfoot moving tools around
in someone's barn, and it hit me. I believe one or two bigfoot were
walking around just outside my tent that night. By the way the neighbor's
believe in bigfoot, too.
Activities of Witness:
We were at a church camp. We were in a cow pasture less than 75 yards
from dense woods to our east, and swamp/bottomland to our south.
About 150 yards to our north is the landowner's house.
Description of Creature:
N/A
Other Notes: This is the same spot where I heard the long howls one year before. Also the landowner's son and I heard something mimic an owl less than 100 yards away from this spot in January 2003.
I will be sending more reports later.
Many stories from this general area extending from Madison County into
Hardeman County.
Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments: Upon contact the witness had no additional information to add to this report.
