REPORT RECEIVED: From the GCBRO Online Report Submission Form

DATE:  September 3, 1999

TIME:  Between 11:00 - 12:00 P.M. CST

LOCATION:  Clay County, Tennessee, Undisclosed area off Hwy. 52

TERRAIN:    Wooded Valley

OBSERVED: Five of us were out four wheeling late one night when the driver, my oldest daughter's boyfriend, decided to take us to an area he had frequented for many years while growing up nearby.  The five of us included my daughters boyfriend, my two daughters, myself, and my 19 year old niece.  We were traveling in a 1983 Ford F-150 Truck and had pulled onto a bridge over a creek.   We turned around on the other side of the creek on a dirt roadway and pulled back up onto the middle of the bridge and stopped.  It was an off road, narrow, one lane bridge.  It was very warm and we were enjoying it being out in the cooler night air.

I was talking to my niece and we were looking off over the side of the bridge and down at a very large barefoot print in the sand bar.  There was a funny looking structure sticking up next to the track.  It was pyramid in fashion with looked like medium sized white rocks in a circle around the base of it.  It wasn't a very tall thing, but it was really strange looking to us.  There wasn't any water in the creek at the time as it had been very hot and dry out for many weeks.  All of a sudden we heard a loud scream at the end of the bridge on the side we first drove up on.  My 11 year old screamed for us to look and we did not see what she saw because we were too far away, but whatever it was ran away on two feet and ran off with loud thudding noises and branches breaking,  down alongside the creek bed.  The Bigfoot was standing facing us at the end of the bridge my youngest daughter told us later.  We had all froze where we were at such a horrible scream.  It all happened so fast.  We were trying to figure out what was going on.    It sounded very, very angry, whatever it was.  All five of us manged to get inside the truck and we left right away.  I won't ever go back to that bridge at night again.

Description of Creature:  Tall, hairy, dark colored

Activities of Witness: Talking, Standing, walking around on the narrow bridge

Other Reports from this Area:  Yes

Other reports from this area: In May, 2000, about a mile away, my daughter and her boyfriend were scared off the creek  by heavy steps approaching the back of their truck.  The steps  sounded like a very large man walking.  They left the area immediately.  I have asked them not to ever go back there again.  I am afraid of what might happen to them if they keep going back there.

Other Other Notes:  None

Researcher Notes:  View several photographs of this area and photographs of a field trip by GCBRO members on site investigating these two sightings.  Click on the link below.

More Reseachers Notes:    Another occurence happened earlier near this same bridge a few years back, in the middle 1990's.  Some campers were also said to have been scared away by at least two very aggressive bigfoot creatures, who  screamed at them in the middle of the night and, chased them into their car.  As on another report several miles distant where a bigfoot lifted some campers car up also,  in this incident two bigfoot lifted the rear end of these camper's car up so they couldn't leave.  They reportedly could not go until the bigfoot sat their car back down.  Several vehicle attacks by bigfoot creatures have happened through the years in this same general area.  This report came from an extremely reliable witness.
