DATE:     6-16-97

TIME:      12:15 A.M.

LOCATION:    Eastover, South Carolina, Richland County

TERRAIN:      Swampy/ heavily wooded

OBSERVED:     About 11: 30 P.M. that night I heard very loud grunting sounds
in the woods outside my apartment near the dog kennel.   The dogs then began
to bark in their kennels.   I looked outside and saw a very large creature: looking like
sketches commonly seen of bigfoot. That instance a large great perinese dog
that roamed the area started after a fleeing creature. The dogs puppy, Simba,
took off also after the rapid depature of his father following the creature.
I, after a while ,finally went to sleep.

The next morning the owner of the property said her puppy was missing,
but the adult was home . Me, being emplyoed by her, went to look for Simba,
however the only thing I found on the entire 87 acres was very large footprint ressembling that of casted prints of bigfoot. These prints lead deeper into a swampy wooded area uninhabited for miles . I frankly was to shocked to continue or call
authorities for fear of everything that comes from these things.  This is not
a made up story nor fabication of any sort.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   Trying to sleep, watching dave letterman

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:    It was dark in color and tall, but it was night time and
I wasn't about to chase it.   the next day ironically there was an article in the
paper I read about bigfoot in the area in 96

OTHER NOTES:   The voice sounded like aaahh ,uuuhhh, oohhh and was very deep and
loud.    Also, the puppy was never recovered.
