TIME: 2:30 P.M.
LOCATION:
Mt. Logan Natural Preserve along the Bald Eagle State Forest
Clinton County, Pennsylvania
Lock Haven Reservoir is about 3 miles east of the sighting area.
TERRAIN:
Very rugged terrain and very wooded
OBSERVED:
Since the weather was rather nice on this day with a cool breeze blowing,
and not very warm, I decided to take a journey back deeper into the area
from which I first encountered a set of bigfoot tracks
last
year. The distance I traveled was between 2 and 3 miles into the
area known as the Mt. Logan Natural Preserve. This is a very dangerous
place to get at and I would advise all people that read this report
to think very hard on journeying there if you are a thrill seeker wanting
to find bigfoot. All sorts of dangers abound around this place.
Steep cliffs and gorges, rock slides, rattlesnakes abound and the various
reports of mountain lions seen west of this area suggest that bigfoot isn't
the only animal that calls this place home. You have to figure that
this area is in the middle of a triangle shaped area that is a major route
for human activity and the animals have virtually nowhere else to go to.
I will begin describing the events of the day,"first off" i was taking good care in venturing into this area looking for rattlesnakes as I walked and keeping an eye out for any mountain lion activity. As I got closer to the preserve, the woods got thicker and thicker with laurel and evergreen trees not to mention pine trees and birch. Some areas you could see well over 75 yards and had signs of numerous deer around the area. Lots of pheasants and grouse are there to along with occasional flocks of turkeys.
I
made it about half way through the area when I noticed a sudden stillness
about the woods. All the animals just went stone silent and then
I decided to stop and scan the area for anything dangerous that may be
responsible for this to occur. Across the way from me I spotted a
bigfoot about 50 yards away, standing near a large tree looking at me and
keeping very still. I wouldn't have spotted it if i didn't
pay attention to what was going on around me. After spotting
the bigfoot, I just froze into place and stared at it wondering what it
would do.
I
was scarred half silly and a lot of bad thoughts started to race through
my head.
I had a camera in a case that was attached to my belt and started to reach for it and get it out. The bigfoot started to flinch at this movement but stayed where it was at and didn't make any noise at all. When I got a hold of the camera and started to raise it up to take a quick picture is when it bolted from the tree at tremendous speed, and went deeper into the woods and out of sight in such a quick speed that I can't begin to guess how much time it took to disappear. These creatures can move through the woods like the woods are not even there. It's like they move in a open field.
As
for a description of it, the bigfoot stood about 7 1/2 feet tall and I
couldn't guess the weight very well.
I
would make a educated guess of around 350 pounds, maybe more. It
had black eyes and they looked kinda bloodshot to me. I don't know
if it was angry with me for seeing it or what, on the account of the redness
but it didn't look to friendly for sure. It was a male bigfoot from
the looks of it. Ididn't see any female structures to it. The
muscle build on it was rather impressive. It had thick arms like
a professional weight lifter and tree trunk like legs on it. The
feet were a curiosity to see, thick long and wide, were what i noticed
of them, and matted hair on the top which went down halfway over the sides.
The feet weren't flat looking at all, had a crescent arch to them, where
the instep meets the heel part. Wery well made for rugged terrain
navigation.
The chest was very defined, and the shoulders were very broad. It had a dark brown hair color to it with darker color around the wrists and lower legs and shoulders. The hair was short around the face but got longer towards the neck and waistline. It was overall about a inch and a half, with it getting a little longer towards the middle of it. The skin around the face appeared to be a dark grey color but could have been a little lighter. Needless to say, after this event occured, I got the h--l out of there and haven't been back since. Next time I journey to this area, I'm taking some backup along in case something were to happen.
I will camp out up there in the near future with a friend in town and some video equipment. I think that I stand a good chance of getting this thing on tape. The only problem with going back out there is, there has been different footprint finds that suggest another one is in the area or has already left. I'm taking a good bet that both are still out there because they have nowhere else to go without being seen by other people.
ACTIVITIES
OF WITNESS(ES): Just exploring new
territory, and looking for signs of bigfoot activity.
Got
more than I expected to, "and then some!".
DESCRIPTION
OF CREATURE: Around 7 1/2 feet tall,
very well built, except for the stomach portion of it. It looked
out of tone so to speak, like it just ate a very big meal.
The
hair was over all around a inch and a half but a little longer near the
waist and neck.
Broad
shouldered and also thick strong looking legs were visible.
The
feet were not flat looking at all and had a cresent shape to the bottom
of them, very large feet, that were long thick and wide with thick toe
nails on them.
OTHER
NOTES: It just
stood where it was at and stared straight at me without moving a muscle.
The
woods got real silent before this encounter occured.
The
weather has been odd up here this year.
one
week its cold, next its hot,and then cold nights and warm days.
OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA: Several accounts have taken place east of this area. The original find area is several miles east of the sighting spot. I guess they travel down that way at nighttime for the water source that is available.
