OBSERVED:   It was around midnight and my grandfather and a friend were playing cards.   I was reading a magazine.   We were up at my grandfather's camp in Cameron County.  A bunch of men and boys were there to cut firewood for hunting season.  It was Memorial Day weekend.  The camp has a large front porch with a large picture window, no electric Coleman lantern for light.  This camp is 14 miles back a dirt road.  All of a sudden there was a large thump on the front porch  We looked and saw a large fur covered creature walking on its hind legs like a man.  It went to the front door and kicked at the door bottom.  It did this for a minute or so and then left the porch on the opposite side.   It came on and circled around in back of the camp and let out the loudest scream/holler I have ever heard.  It shook the walls.   Then it was gone or at least we thought so.  No one would talk about the encounter.

The next day we went into town and the creature follwed the truck for a ways from a distance of 75 yards parallel in the woods.   That was the last I saw it.   We found on several occassions squirrels half eaten with their skins rolled up over their heads on the front porch.  My grandfather said he saw a hairy bipedal thing run away from him while hunting in area in the late 60s.   One time we were up at this camp and only my grandfather and me and my brother and sister were there.  Us kids were asleep. Grandfather was on the porch relaxing when he heard a loud scream/holler up in the valley.  He said it made the hair on the back of his neck stand up.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   We cut firewood all day long and split it and stored it in the shed.  We cut trees along the road into the camp.  We all ate dinner and relaxed on the porch until well after dark then went inside.   Several went to bed.   My grandfather and his friend were playing cards.  I was reading a magazine.  We were only three up who saw it.   The rest heard the scream/holler.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   It was greyish tan and had 1/2 inch hair on arms.   Had hands like humans with fingernails, not claws.   Was as tall as the rafters on the porch (7-8 feet?).   Had furry face (could not make it out).  It was strong enough to make the bottom of the door move in an inch or so while kicking it.  When it ran off porch and around back of camp it let out the loudest scream/holler I have ever heard.

OTHER NOTES:  Found several squirrels on porch with skin rolled up over head when we first arrived at camp.   Saw this occur for several years.

OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA:  Yes, as I stated above the next day the creature followed our truck as we went into town.  Granfather saw a bipedal hairy thing run from him while hunting in the area in the 1960's.  Grandfather heard loud scream/holler up in the valley around 1979ish while me, brother, sister were sleeping, making his hair stand up on the back of his neck.
