RECEIVED: From the G.C.B.R.O. Web Site Submission Form

DATE:   1975-76

TIME:   EVENING AND DAY

LOCATION:     Oregon, Deschutes County
ONE IN CANYON CITY AND OTHER IN 3 SISTERS
                  MOUNTAIN RANGE

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:   My first encounter was of what I thought at first was a lady.  When I was about 5-6 years old, I saw what at first I thought was a lady standing up on top of the hill, about 100 yards away or less, across the street from our house at the edge of the town.  The sunlight from the setting sun lit up a reddish brown hair behind her.  Then I realized that the hair covered the entire body.  Stood there, looking at each other for a minute or longer.  Next day, parents went up on the hill and verified footprints.  Previous residence 1/2 mile away.  Parents heard deep and loud screams described to be loud, raspy, and almost sorrowful sounding.  Also sounds of breathing in very deep and raspy.  I felt very priveledged to have seen one and speak of it when I can.

The second report is when I was going from Eugene to Bend VIA the 3 Sisters Mountain Range around the same year and only 3-5 months after my sighting.  I had to take a leak.  We stopped in the middle of know where and I got out to go.  As I was in the process of releaving myself, I noticed what seemed to be bare foot prints leading from the road into the woods.  I didn't even finish. I got scared and jumped in the front seat with my Mom and step-brother and told them to get the hell outta here and that I had just seen a bigfoot track.  Well, we didn't go but we got back out and looked at them for a few minutes, then left.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):  I was talking to step-brother working on our Chevy Truck.  I didn't say anything about what I was looking at.  I was in awe and after a second in disbelief, after it turned and walked away, I ran in the house screaming to everyone about what I had just seen.

The tracks on the side of the road--I was relieving myself.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   Sighting  Reddish brown fur/hair.  Tall and broad seeming.  No odor or sounds heard from the sighting, not close enough.

3 Sisters prints were the size of an adult man, not as big as most tracks I have read about.  Screams and howling from other house we lived in 1/2 mile away in Canyon City.

OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA?:    Grandmother has seen one looking into her cabin outside of Yreka CA.  Said its eyes reflected blue in the light and that she was not scared.  She described it only as being a bigfoot and that its eyes seemed to contain all the knowledge of the world in them.  Her words.  Mother has also seen tracks outside of Eugene Oregon.  My wife saw three scurry up a steep hillside around the border of Utah and Wyoming.  She said they were fast and agile and one swung its body around to look behind it as it seemed to wait for the last one to catch up.  They disappeared over the top.  Seen at about 100 or so yards away in almost full moon light about 1-2 A.M.   I had a friend that had lived in Michigan told me when he was a kid, him and his parents coming home late one night, they saw a Bigfoot in the road and they stopped right in front of it before it moved and they sped away.
