OBSERVED:
I am 40 years old now and this event happened when I was around 10 or 11,
we used to stay at my grandparents place out in the sticks sometimes. There
was nothing but gravel roads back then to get to the place and heavy woods
behind the farm, I used to go hunting with my Uncles in these woods. Anyway
I remember one night the dogs were barking out back and there was a lot
of commotion, I do remember my Uncle getting his 38 pistol and running
out back, this is a 10 acre lot out in the country with the usual wooden
fences surrounding the lot, of course I wanted to see what was going on
and my Granddad was in the back yard telling my Uncle that he saw a large
hairy thing pick up one of his pigs in the far back corner of the garden
and simply carry it off under its arm having no problem stepping over the
fence. I remember he had 3 large pigs in that pen and next morning I went
to look around and sure enough only 2 remained and I noticed that none
of the fence or gate had been damaged, I remember a lot of mud and leaves
around the pig pen but being so young I probably didn't know what to look
for as far as footprints. I remember hearing them talk about this years
later when I would visit but they kept it kinda hush hush from the rest
of the family. It feels good to tell this as I have faced a lot of ridicule
in the past as nobody can grasp it now that I live in the city.
