LOCATION:   Talehina, Leflore County, Oklahoma
 

TERRAIN:    National Forest
 

OBSERVED:   I was deer hunting with my best friend and his family. I was sitting in my tree stand and around 9:15 am I noticed a shape emerging to my left, I realized that it was my friend. As I looked at him I could tell that something was wrong because he had a look about him that was not right. He was walking up the ridge very quickly and he kept looking behind him at all times. I was looking at him thinking that he had been startled by a big buck because the wind was blowing very hard. I motioned with my hands but he let me know very quickly, that it was not the problem. As he shook his head no he turned to look behind him again. I climbed down and asked him what was wrong. He started to tell me what had happened and I started to grin. But as he told me I could tell by his voice that he was telling the truth.

He said that he was sitting in his position and decided to rattle. About the third time something behind him got very disturbed with him doing this. It started to move around behind and above him. When he stood up to take a look it let out a terrifing and powerful scream mixed with a growl that shot through him. He decided that he needed to leave and made his way towards me. After we had disscussed this we decided to go back because we were camped about a 1/2 of a mile up the mountain.

When we found his spot we looked around and located the area from where the scream came from. We found a tree about 8" wide and 8-10' high snapped in half. As we looked around we found deep impressions in the ground that were 12-14" long. We followed them around the mountain until they went back into some dence follage. We decided not to follow them any further.

The next morning as I sat in my spot I watched 4 does come out of the thickets. The largest doe stopped and kept looking behind her, I am thinking that that buck is right behind her. But I also kept thinking that something is not right because she is not moving ( the other does are moving down the ridge). The wind is blowing, but I can hear something moving towards her. It stopped at the edge of the thickets and she took off. I know that they could not smell me or see me, but what ever it was knew that I was there.

It did not move for a while but then it started to move up and around me. I could hear it walking on 2 legs and at first I thought it was another hunter, but it stayed inside the thickets. When the wind would change it would move, but I could never get a look at it. After a while I decided to rattle, I received a responce that I can only describe as a mix between a bear and a pig. It was not happy with me and I did not feel good about being there. I was feeling so uncomfortable that I would face behind me instead of the deer trails.

This went on for three days. I was cutting through the thickets to the trail just before dark because I did not want to be there after dark. I had gotten about 15 yds up the trail when something very big started to walk away from me. It scared the hell and everything else out me. As I made my way back to camp I could hear it following me. When I would stop it would stop. That night I could not sleep and as I laid there something came into camp. It started to go through things, I was about to get up and take a look but something told me I did not want to see what it was. After a while it went away and it did not return.
 

Activities of Witness:  Deer hunting, camp with music,cooking etc.
 

Description of Creature:  Big and walked on two legs

Other Notes: On the first day I had set up above the tail end of a creek. I was watching the animals and birds thinking this would be a great spot. After a while something was moving behind me and I could hear it getting closer to me. As I looked back towards the creek I noticed that the wildlife was gone. As I sat there I was thinking that it was really weird. Then I could hear something moving behind me again. Then it grunted at me and I got confused because it could smell me with the wind. It stopped and after a while I decided to head back to camp. The whole time I felt that I was being watched. But I did not think of this until later, after I had talked to someone.
