OBSERVED:    I don't know if you'll believe me or not.  I'm not even sure I'd believe anyone if they told me this story.  But here it is...

It was approximately 5am on a Saturday morning. My best friend and I had been out to some parties in the rural part of Hughes County on some dirt roads.  I do not drink or smoke and so I was the designated driver for the evening's events.

The party had come to an end and my best friend and I were driving back to the dorms in Seminole, which is a small city about 25-30 miles west of the party.

As I drove my friend's 68 Mustang, she and I chatted to keep each other awake.

The highway which runs east-west is flanked on both sides by densely wooded areas.  Imagine our surprise when we saw a "thing" run north across the highway.  The strange part about this thing was that it was on 2 legs.

I stopped the car right there on the highway, in disbelief of what I had just seen.  How could something on 2 legs run across the highway that fast?  It was not as fast as a deer, but it was not as slow as a human.  My friend and I just looked at each other, each asking the other if they saw something strange.

I put the pedal to the metal, so to speak, and we never spoke of that occurrence again.
 

Activities of Witness:   I was the designated driver (baby-sitter) to my best friend at some parties.  I don't drink, smoke cigarettes, or takes drugs.  I was completely stone sober.
 

Description of Creature:  It was a darkish brown hairy figure, only about 4-5 feet tall.
