OBSERVED:
This friend of mine and three other of his friends
came up with the idea to collect free growing
christmas trees and sale them to earn a little extra
santa money.  These four industrious fellows along
with one of them's dog headed off in the foothill area
behind one of their houses.  They had to cross roughly
three arce field before they came to a barbed wire
fence.  Once they crossed the fence they went about
200 yards into the woods when they came upon a stand
of christmas trees.  By this time it was early evening
and the sun was starting to set.  They had cut a few
trees down, when off in the distance they could hear
something moving around.  Since it was still a good
distance off I was told they really did not think to
much about it.  As they continued to cut the trees the
sound kept getting closer.  By this time is was dark
out and they had brought a couple of flash lights to
light the way back.  When the sound was within what
they thought was approximatly 30 yards they agreed
that if the sound got close enough for them to maybe
see what it was that they would shine the lights on
it.  As whatever it was was getting nearer the dog
seemed to grow more uneasy and started to make change
between a whimper and a low growl.  I was told this
kind of made them nervous since the dog had never
backed off from anything before.  As what was making
the sound got within ten yards of the edge of the
stand the dog turned tail and started to run.  My
friend told me this really started to scare them but
they held their ground.  When the sound got to the
edge of the christmas tree stand they all turn on
their lights in the direction of the sound.  What they
saw was a pair of reflective eyes that stood above the
tops of the 7 foot range trees.  When the lights hit
the eyes of the creature it let out a loud scream type
growl, as it was described to me, then it turned and
started to run away from them.  As it ran they could
hear branches and trees breaking.  I was told they
stood there shocked for a couple of seconds and then
turned and ran back towards the field and their truck.
 The next day they returned to the area to get the
saws and other tools they had left behind.  When they
returned they brought along a gun to protect
themselves in case they encountered this creature
again.  When they got back to the area they were
cutting the trees what they found was a huge path cut
from where the creature was going back into the woods.
 The path was described as being about 3 1/2 to 4 foot
wide.  They found smaller broken trees and limbs, but
what they found most interesting was some of these
trees which where 3 to 4 inches thick broken off
approximately 6 1/2 to 7 foot off the ground.  I was
told they could easily follow the path this thing made
but they all agreed it was best to leave whatever it
was alone.  They gathered up their tools and what few
trees they could and left the area.  I was told that
they never went back into that area again unless there
was two or more and they had a gun.  The guy that
lived in house said that until that day he had never
seen or heard anything out of the normal.  But for a
few weeks after that he always kept a pistol close by
at all times.

Description of Creature:    Reflective eyes seen above the tops of the 7 foot range trees, & as light hit it, it let out a loud scream-growl yell
