OBSERVED:    In mid August, I was leaving my girlfriends house when I heard this sharp screeching sound almost like a little girl's shriek or like a ring wraith from Lord of the Rings.   I stood outside for a while to listen and it carried on for a good 5 to 10 minutes before I finally just wanted to get out of there.  She lives over near a lake and there's no street lights in her area so it was very hard to see.  After that night I never heard anything again, but about 2 or 3 weeks ago now,  and since then , the dogs in her area have been going crazy.  And, last tuesday, they started to go nuts in my area as well.  I was walking my dog  past these woods near my house last week, and  I could hear twigs  snapping inside.  Normally this wouldn't startle me,. but when i looked in I could have sworn I saw two yellow eyes looking back.  After that I bolted, so it's possible I didn't actually see anything at all.  But a neighbor of mine said that she had been hearing something walking on the roof, and actually last night I heard it too.  Sorry I know this sounds crazy and I'm sure you get a lot of wacko's who e-mail you.  But I had to tell someone.
