REPORT RECEIVED FROM: The GCBRO Online Report Submission Form.
REPORT
POSTED TO GCBRO WEB SITE ON: April
2, 2013
DATE:
8-92or3?
TIME:
10pm-0300am
LOCATION:
Otero County, New Mexico
TERRAIN:
Mtn. Pine/Pinon, small trout stream, nice RV park
OBSERVED:
The common denominator observed by myself in the shared experiences I've
read on this website and others are the "indescribable-unidentifiable"
sound(s) emitted by these beings. I too, was at a total loss to visualize
the entity which produced the sounds I witnessed. Having just laid down
in my sleeping bag after a long day, what I initially perceived as the
low gutteral wailing of a large unidentifiable animal, began with what
I perceived as an an angry, discontented, threatening "lecture," to everything
within earshot. Interspersed with chatter, the volume/tone of the "message,"
went from low/loud to higher/loud i.e.: ooooooOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUuuuuuuAAAHAAAHHAAAHHAH-Ay!-Ay!
eeee..EE!..(other sounds not remembered or recognized were heard as well)..sent
chills throughout my body and stood my hair on end. I've NEVER
heard ANYthing the likes of which I experienced before or since with
the exception of the sound recordings I've heard here and other BFRO sites.
The most disturbing aspect of the constant 'crying/moaning/chattering,'
was lying there in the dark and not being able to mentally perceive/connect
the vocalizations with ANYTHING logical. The sounds were CLOSE, MALICIOUS
and ALPHABADAZZ! They were constant, lasting at least five hours,
maybe more and had my full attention.
ADDITIONAL THINGS:
Summer camping with my family at a very nice RV park. It was late
summer July or August '92/3(?).' Just a bit NE of the RV park.
Directly S of the facility was a trout stream and a huge cliff, overlooking
the park. Other than my family, everyone at the park was in
RV's/Motor homes, mostly wealthy Texas ranchers with their families and
pets coming up to the mountains to cool off and go to the horse races.
The park was FULL and very BUSY i.e. people cooking out, partying, fishing,
generally having a great time, lots of activity. What struck me as
strange, was when I was hearing this incredibly LOUD entity ALL night long,
I, to my knowledge was the ONLY one hearing it, there was absolutely ZERO
dogs barking, lights coming on in the RV's or people coming out of them
to investigate. Just me, scared and peering through the front door
netting of our tent, in which nobody was awakened--UNbelievable!
In the morning I told my family about the experience and asked if anyone
of them had heard what I did the night before-- Negatory. It wasn't until
I started watching the BFRO series on Animal Planet and checking out these
websites while listening to recordings that sounded similar that I realized
I REALLY did hear SOMETHING. I looked up all the reports from Otero
Co., thats where and saw numerous reports, mostly from the Mescalero Indian
Reservation.
DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:
I never visually witnessed whatever was making all the noise(s )and can
only conclude after reading reports submitted by the Mescalero Apaches
in the same vicinity, that what I witnessed was very similar to some of
those reports and the sound recordings on various websites.
ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS:
Immediately prior to the occurrence, I can only guess to remember (it's
been so long ago) that we had just cooked out and told stories around our
campfire.
OTHER NOTES:
Back when I had this experience, I would have NEVER suspected a sasquatch
as far south as NM. I'd heard of them, mostly in the NW, it's not
something that comes to mind in this part of the country (SW), or at least
it used not to be. Had I even suspected a sasquatch back then, I'm
sure I would have been a lot more terrified than I was. These sites
and the BFRO TV episodes have led me to suspect I've probably had more
than this one experience
HISTORICAL OR NEIGHBORING AREAS:
Yes, see above and other shared stories on
various websites investigating similar occurrences.
