OBSERVED:    Late one evening while on vacation, I heard what I can only describe as a woman being murdered. I mean it went from a loud scream into a deadly sounding moan. The sound was a distance off (but under a mile I would say). The shear volume of this vocalization ruled out a human. To this day I can still remember this sound. This is a sparsely populated area, mostly vacation homes. At the time of the vocalizations, it was a weeknight and most of the residents were not in the area but at their primary homes somewhere else, therefore it was very quiet and extremely dark. This location is approx 20 mins from the main highway in that area Rt 25.
