OBSERVED:   Shortly after dusk,very grayish sky, the German shepherd began barking. I looked out and saw nothing. I went on the porch as she barked facing the woods north. I heard some very heavy cracking or crunching as if something very heavy was walking. I went inside retrieving a .22 revolver, unleashing  2 or 3 rounds into the tree tops. Imagine my surprise when the noise continued?I'd shoot, listen, shoot. If any animal known to man it would have vamoosed! I returned the revolver to it's hiding place, found my keys and left. I dreaded being in that house on the hilltop much after dark after that. I'd only go into the woods for any reason during the day whereas I'd hear nothing.

In 1979 approximately  3:00 a.m. I was walking past this farm when I realized my footsteps were being parallelled or mimicked from across the road. I stopped; it stopped. I walk 3 steps; so too did it! The foot steps stopped after I got half a mile down the road when a sand pit behind the small airport at this point was about evident. About 1986 a woman told me her children had at different times SEEN BIGFOOT in broad daylight! This meant about 1 1/2 miles from where I heard the odd footsteps in the woods! About Oct. 2001, the same thing happened about 4:00 am on a lonely stretch of highway near Dublin,NH!!!

I never saw it! I had a flashlight and looked into the woods but I couldn't spot it! Same exact idea as 1979! Whatever it was, imitated my footstep pattern! The odd thing was, this strange occurence took place in fairly populated areas; no great stretches of unbroken woods or anything! Then about 1992, I was told of another possible encounter by others!, About 7 miles away one early fall, I was doing something to my truck at night when from the woods came a very strange screaming howl. I stopped and looked at the woods but heard nothing. I wasn't afraid being armed but I couldn't imagine what made that howl!?

Once I  pulled in the yard, like before, in New Ipswich, and in my headlights saw this 20 foot birch tree, about 5 inches thick bending back and forth rythmically like a piano time with the top bending so as to touch the ground BUT NOTHING WAS BENDING THE TREE THAT I COULD SEE! I slowly backed out and got a friend to look but by now it had stopped! I NEVER SAW WHAT DID THAT!
