OBSERVED:    We lived in a area of the county back then was not very populated

It was all family owned land and we lived all around our family. Our home was about a ½ Mile down a dirt road and we was the last house on the road and the road went about a mile on down in to woods and fields. Me and my mother use to sit on the swing on the front porch and swing at night a listen to the animals and I would go to sleep.

Then one Night a strange sound came from the woods far of in the distance we did not know what it was, less like a scream and a yell. My mom was puzzled because she grew up in the mountains of NC and she had never heard that sound before and she knows a lot about the sounds of animals. Well she decide to yell back at it and she did and then it yelled back and she done this for a while then, the sounds got closer and closer to the house and then  my mom got worried so we ran in the house and locked the doors we never locked our doors before. Then a couple of nights later the sounds came back and it was closer to the house then before. It was like it was sitting there waiting and watching us. Then one weekend night in the summer some high school kids back then would drive down the dirt road and go drinking back in the fields behind the house. And that night late this thing start it’s yelling and screams these kids yelled back at and then all of a sudden in a flash they came flying out of there in there cars scared to death as you can tell. Well this thing keep up the games with us for many years. Well my dad done work all around the USA from state to state. Well that year my dad was in KY and I went there for a year. That was in 1982 to 1983. Well my mom would call me all the time and had told me something was trying to get in to the house. Well the school year had end and my sister was born in May and I came back to my home. Well my mom was telling me that this thing was trying to get in to the house. She said she had an old oak board to stick under the door knob and wall in the hallway. Because it would come in the basement up the stairs and try to get through the door. Well I was sitting in the living room with my little sister and

I could see down the hallway to the master bedroom on the right. My mom went to take a shower and the way the layout was the shower was right against the wall of the stairway to the basement. Then all of a sudden my mom came in the hallway with her towel around her and said hurry grab the board it is coming up the stairs so I ran to the door and

Grab the board and jammed it under the knob and against the wall and as soon as I done that it hit the door with a lot of force the board even bowed and I was in shock at what I was seeing. My mom had reached inside the room and called my cousin that was a big time coon hunter and he came running down the hill with is dogs and gun in his hand and a head lantern and as soon as the dogs was barking  it stopped you could hear it go down the stairs. As my cousin and his dogs rounded the corner of the house to the basement door the dogs barked and barked and would not go in the basement he went in and did not see anything. But some of the dogs were barking in to the woods. We left the house and went two houses up to my granny’s house and stated there some time later on my mom woke up late one night to find the dogs barking barking out side her window and she look out and seen a tall solid white hairy figure walk by the window and out in to the field and the dogs where chasing it. But as time went by we know longer heard the creature and the area got heavy populated and no one there had ever heard from it again, But we never thought of Bigfoot really we always thought it was in the north west. But know we know different.

Other Notes:    The witnesses aunt and uncle had told the family for years that near Cherokee they had been followed all of the way home by a bear on two legs one night.  It was a White bigfoot walking on two legs in the moonlight.

Additional Notes or Comments:  Both Dennis Coffey and Bobby Hamilton (Both of the GCBRO) have spoken to the witness over the events described and both follow ups produced the same results.
