LOCATION:   Cumberland County, North Carolina 
 

TERRAIN:    Wooded 
 

OBSERVED:    I pulled into my usual hunting spot early in the morning. As I was walking to set up my tree stand to hunt deer, there was a very loud shriek/yell and I heard something heavy running into the woods. I've hunted all my life and know the sounds of the forest. It was not an owl, coyote, deer, panther or bear. It sounded almost like an ape and was high pitched. Nothing I ever heard before until listening to bigfoot sounds which are almost identical! It made the hair on my neck stand up. Again, I only heard, no visual contact.

Additional things: Later I found a large bedding area in the vicinity I heard the sounds. 
 

Activities of Witness:   Driving thru the woods to park. Got out, got my hunting equipment together and started walking to set up my tree stand.  
 

Description of Creature:  Didn't see anything. It was early morning and the sun hadn't come up yet.
