LOCATION:
Smith County, Mississippi
TERRAIN:
National Forest
OBSERVED:
Between two and three o'clock in the morning we started making bigfoot
howls in an area known for sounds and one encounter. Ten minutes after
we produced our call, while standing near a creek, a large stone was thrown
into the water. The creek was at least four feet deep and the stone hit
the bottom of the creek.

Activities
of Witness: All witnesses
were sitting still and listening for any response to our Bigfoot calls.
Description
of Creature: No animal was observed.
Other
Notes: In late fall
of 1994 in the woods of Amite Louisiana, myself and two other members of
our group startled a birds in the forest. When the bird got up to fly away
we were taken back to see the bird stood almost five feet tall. Flapping
it's wings once to clear the forest canopy, we estimated it to have a eight
to ten foot wingspan. I have tried to find out what kind of bird we saw
and the closest bird in nature would be a Crane. The problem is, we were
hundreds of miles from a water supply that would benefit that size animal.
I believe we saw a thunderbird.
Other
(Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:
In that area there has been several accounts over the past two decades
of strange howls and several local residents have heard bipedal footsteps
around houses, camps and tent camps.
