LOCATION:   Perry County, Mississippi 
 

TERRAIN:    Dense forest, creek 
 

OBSERVED:    I remember it was the day before i turned seventeen, and like most summer days during that time my friends and i had been riding four wheelers for most of the day. It was late evening about just before dark and we were rushing to get home. I was a little ahead of my buddies and had not noticed when he stopped to switch to reserve on his gas tank. About a minute later i realized he wasn't behind me so i stopped on the old wooden bridge and turned my wheeler off to listen for my friends. I could here him coming in the distance but what caught my attention was a splash in the water below. I turned back to look down towards the creek and there about a hundred yards away was a shaggy brown figure. what's worse is it was looking directly at me, i could hear mike coming up closer but i couldn't peel my eyes from this creature kneeling by the creek. It never stood up it just sort of scooted backwards in one swift move into the brush as mike came speeding up on the bridge. I was shocked and horrified and intrigued all at the same time. i explained to mike what i had saw and we tried to listen for more movement but .something told me it was just sitting back watching us from the safety of the bushes.
