Report
Received From: The GCBRO Online
Report Submission Form.
DATE:
7/28/03
TIME:
5:15 am
LOCATION:
Missouri, Moniteau County
TERRAIN:
Wooded
OBSERVED:
I was on a trip, driving east. My 17 year old son was with me. I
had my window cracked about 2 inches. We had just started down a hill,
and I was letting the momentum of the hill take the car faster, when I
suddenly heard a high pitched howling, that followed along with us for
about 75 to 100 yards and a terrible smell filled the car. I never saw
anything, but I wasn't looking for anything, either. It freaked me
out. I've never had anything happen like that before. Afterwards,
I wondered how it followed me for so long, and maybe there was a group
of them? I am convinced it was bigfoot though. I can't describe
the smell, except that it was rotten smelling, but not like a dead animal.
More of a cross between a skunk and someone's dirty socks, but even that
isn't quite right. After we were going up the next hill, the sound
stopped and the smell eventually faded out.
Activities of Witness:
Driving a vehicle
Description of Creature:
N/A
Other Notes:
It was still dark outside. Pre dawn. Not sure just how wooded the
area was. I'm going back soon to see.
Additional Notes or Comments:
After contacting the witness, they
added this following bit of information:
I went back and checked out the
area in the daytime. There were trees along the north side of the road,
with fields and more trees behind those trees, and mainly fields on the
south side of the road. The sound
occurred in the "valley" of the
2 hills I was traveling down, then back up, as I was heading east.
Like I said, I never saw anything, but it was too dark to see anything,
and I was traveling too fast.
My son says he does not remember the smell now, but he said at the time he smelled it. He is autistic, so he may not be a reliable witness. He does say he heard the sound. I am not sure just what it was I heard that morning, but in my mind, it is very possible it could have been bigfoot.
