TIME:     12:30 AM 
 

LOCATION:   York County, Maine 
 

TERRAIN:    Wooded 
 

OBSERVED:    It was around 12:30 AM and I had to get up to go. So that's when I heard a Whoop....Whoop....Woooo...
It was repeated several times...so I went into my bedroom to look out the window, so I could get a better view of what ever was making this noise. So I repeated the noise and it returned the call...and came closer. I didn't hear anything as it walked, so it might have been walking on the outer edge of the woods. This went on for several minutes, then I realized that maybe this wasn't such a good idea, and made a hissing noise like a cat would when it was mad and whatever moved away as I did that several times...and the Whooping noise got further away.  
 

Activities of Witness:   I was sleeping. 
 

Description of Creature:  Couldn't see any animal 
 

Other Notes:    It was really quite..I didn't hear any other animal around.
