DATE: 1972-73
TIME: Night
LOCATION:
Fallston ,Maryland Harford county
TERRAIN:
Wooded
OBSERVED:This is not a sighting I saw but was relayed to me by a neighbor who's friend it happened to. The area they lived in had few houses around them and a trout stream near them and hills and small valleys.
The people had problems with stray dogs dumping their trash from their trash cans at night. The witness had seen the dogs. So he bought a 22 rifle to get rid of the dogs. One night he was really mad to hear the noise again in the back yard. He has an area with a cement slab about 10 ft by 5 ft with a six ft fence around it on three sides open to the back door on one side. The trash cans are on the inside part of the fence. He came out with his 22 rifle and saw no dog at the trash cans but fired a shot up in the air to scare away any hiding dogs. Then a figure stood up from behind the fence. Head and shoulders could be seen by the porch light glow above the fence. It ran or moved real fast towards the woods never to be seen again. It was told the police were called but no report was ever filed on it to my knowledge. The next door neighbor showed me a cast of the foot print that they cast of this animal which was about 21 inches long. It was was wide too. She said the people had planted small bushes in the path the animal ran just days before, and it pushed ,pulled or knocked half of them out running into them and left footprints near some of them.

Notes: The area always has reports
of BF every year from Baltimore to Harford county in the fall- winter time.
I fished these areas and never found anything myself. But footprints
were found by other people
Other Other Notes: All I know is that after the incident he never saw anything again and that dogs getting in his trash made him mad enough to buy a 22 rifle to scare DOGS away not what he saw instead. He still doesn't believe what he saw and won't give his name and neither would the neighbor tell me. Maybe that's why no report or newspaper article on it
Also,
always in the Fall winter time. One time in 5 inches of snow
hours after my dad and I left for home after trout fishing in the same
area. Many tracks and a few holes dug in the ground about 2 ft where
no shovel could dig in frozen ground. This was in the newspaper.
