DATE: m July 25, 2001

TIME:  1:15 A.M.

LOCATION:  Maine, Somerset County

TERRAIN:  Rocky, wooded, with lots of mountains

OBSERVED:   My friends and I have a camp near the camp settlement of XXXX, Maine. Our camp is the only one for at least a 4 mile radius around us. Well, I was sleeping at night, and I needed to go to the bathroom, so since there is no plumbing, I had to pay a visit to the wonderful Maine wilderness. Since it was dark, I brought a flashlight to find my way around. As I was doing my duties, I heard some movement around about 15-20 yards to my immediate left. I figured it was just a moose and didn't think much of it. I went back inside and went to sleep. I awoke about what seemed like seconds, (but was actually 2 hours) to the sounds of loud moaning and screaming. I ran outside scared out of my pants with the flashlight and caught a glimpse of a dark figure on two legs running off hysterically.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):  Camping

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:  Tall, around 8 1/2 to 9 feet tall, Dark haired/skinned, and fast,
ran about 15 m.p.h.

OTHER NOTES:   Just some weird aircraft flying over head. Possibly
planes, but no sounds coming from them. Also having the advantage of taking
off very quickly, going about Mach 9 instantly.
