Report
Received From: The GCBRO Online
Report Submission Form.
DATE:
March 1, 2004
TIME:
Night
LOCATION:
Essex County, Massachuesetts
TERRAIN:
Wooded
OBSERVED:
I am retelling this experience, as it did not happen to me, but it was
told to me by multiple people. As group of teenagers apparently were
hanging out at night at the end of a dirt road with a metal gate.
I am not sure exactly how many people saw it, but one girl explained that
she had sensed being watched all night and saw a dark, shifty figure many
times before she she pointed at the trail, and said "What the hell is that"
What was described to me was a large dark, shifty figure about 7-8 feet
tall. Shifty, to me describes quick back and forth movements, however,
when I asked if the figure could have been hairy, they said yes, this could
have accounted for its shiftiness. They did not see its face.
As they watched for just a minute, they all became disturbed, and when
they began to go back to the car, the creature began to race forward at
a fast pace, again it appeared to shift from one place to the next.
They described the way in which it came at them, kind of crouched
down, with long arms reaching
forwards one after the other.
Activities of Witness:
Hanging out at night at the end of a dirt road
Description of Creature:
A large figure, 7 to 8 feet tall, that appeared to shift from place to
place. It charged at them reaching its arms forward when it came.
Other Notes:
According to the submitter of this encounter, two witnesses both drew separate
pictures of what they saw, then showed them to each other. They were
identical.
Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments: Upon contact the witness had no additional information to add to this report.
