LOCATION:
S.W. Vernon Parish, Louisiana
TERRAIN:
Clear cut area with a 300` x 200` gravel worksite
OBSERVED:
Working for a hot oil service out of Liberty,TX., Me and another
truck driver had
connected to a christmas tree(wellhead)
to melt pariffin in nearby oilwells. we had everything
set up and running when the other
driver went into town to get some stuff to cook on our
burners .He was gone for about
an hour or more and I was walking around the perimiter of the
worksite listening to birds and
crickets . On my 3rd pass I did not hear anything the area
became so quiet it was spooky.
All the birds had disappered and the crickets even shutup(What
can make a cricket be quiet?).A
sudden feeling that something was watching Me from the tall
weeds made Me head back towards
my truck.I grabbed the only weapon that I could find,a very
large pipe wrench and locked Myself
in the cab. This all lasted about 30 minutes until the
other driver came back.He could
tell that something was bothering me,but I played it off as
wanting to go see my girlfriend
that night. We unhooked everthing fast and I left his butt back
there by himself trying to play
catch up.I didn't slow down till I hit the Texas state line.
Activities of Witness: Pumping super hot oil to nearby oilwells.
Description of Creature:

Other Notes:
I thought I could hear a low growl or grunt in the tall grass, but I'm not
sure. It was
a nice sunny day and there had
been nothing on the radio to play tricks on my mind. THERE WAS
SOMETHING WATCHING ME OUT THERE!!!!!!
The creature may have been attracted to the sound of my pump on the truck?
