REPORT RECEIVED: From the GCBRO field report notes of Tommy Boyd.  "THE BIG HUNT"

TERRAIN:   Wooded, with Creek Bottoms .

OBSERVED:  One of several field reports from "THE BIG HUNT" hosted for GCBRO members beginning the week of January 15, 2000, and lasting until January 25,2000.


                                                             BIGFOOT SIGHTING

Details:

          While on a organized hunting trip with the Gulf Coast Bigfoot Research Organization (GCBRO) this investigator had the rare opportunity of spotting and watching 4 bigfoot animals for over a two hour period.   This event is true and this reporter is of sound mind with an education up to the College level.  There are thousands of individuals all over the world who are fascinated by the mysterious bi-peddled, fur bearing
animal commonly known as BIGFOOT or SASQUATCH.   Only a rare few actually are fortunate  enough to catch a glimpse of this elusive creature.

The day is Monday the 17th of January, 2000.   To be completely correct the actual time of the sighting would be Tuesday in the early morning hours of January 18th, 2000 at approximately 00:15am.    I (reporting investigator) climbed into a tree stand  in the remote bottom lands of North West Louisiana at around 5:30pm in the evening on
1-17-00.  I was getting settled in for a long night of hunting because a fellow of good since does not want to be roaming around in the dark in this area.   Once settled into the most uncomfortable seat ever known to a grown man's posterior a check of the equipment at hand is given a quick looking over.  The rifle, night vision binoculars, thermal imaging camera, mosquito net for the face and gloves.  Oops, forgot the gloves.

Now the hunt is about to begin with darkness coming quickly and all signs of light fading away.   6:30pm all is dark and the only thing moving or making noise is the blood sucking mosquitoes that are feasting upon any bare skin left uncovered.   Everything is dead quiet except for the mosquitoes of course and then the moving of leaves and tree tops from the slight wind.  At around 7:00pm a rustling in the pine needles and fallen leaves is heard.   I looked through the nightvision binoculars and am unable to tell what is moving about on the ground.  I know that whatever it is moving about near the tree stand it is small and it appears to be more than one.  I then turn on the thermal imaging camera and scan the area and immediately notice that my hunting area has been raided by coons, thousands of em.  Well , there were quite a few but a hand full can make enough noise to have mother nature complain.    I watched the coons and fought off mosquitoes well into the night.  By now it is
around 11:00pm and my bare hands are covered with whelps from the biting mosquitoes and my butt has been numb for the past 3 hours.   The area that I am hunting has creeks and dense brush.  I am over looking a well worn game trail that has been made by some very large animal.  It is not cattle because there are no cattle in this area nor are there any horses.   The trail was not made by deer due to the absence of hoof marks
commonly known to be left behind by the deer species.   What ever has made this trail has also been eating at a food plot which has been supplied and restocked daily for the past several months to a year.   The generous individual,  whose name I will not disclose,  has spent countless hours and not to mention a small fortune on this food plot.   The food plot has provided  supplemental nutrition for many a wildlife species and it was soon determined by the footprints left behind that a very large animal with big feet had been visiting the food plot
regularly.   For this reason I am out here in cold dark night in an attempt to find out what has been eating at the food plot besides the coons and deer.

At approximately 00:15am (15 minutes after midnight) I noticed that it was extremely quiet more quiet than normal.  I noticed that I didn't hear the coons anymore,  the crickets were silenced and the mosquitoes appeared to have taken a break.   Puzzled I picked up the Thermal Imaging camera and scanned the area to see if anything was out there.  I looked all over the area that I was hunting and saw nothing.   Then I leaned backwards as far as I could to see around several trees to my left where the food plot area was located which was about 40 to 50 yards away.  It was at this time that I got the shock of my life!

There at the food plot I saw through the thermal imaging camera 4 animals all in an upright fashion.   The buck fever set in and I just about went into shock, my heart rate tripled and I could feel my heart beat in my throat and my breathing was erratic.  I could hardly breathe and was gasping for air!   Wow, what in the world am I looking at?   Even though you could not see color or great detail it was easy to see that the animals that I was looking at were shaped like humans.   The thermal image you see in the camera is only a white shape, that's it, everything else is dark and what ever puts off any heat shows up on the thermal imaging camera.   I leaned backwards in the tree stand for several minutes watching these animals at the food plot and then turned back forward to rest and catch my breath.   I thought to myself could this possibly be a human family or is it, could it yes it was, it was with out a doubt 4 bigfoot animals.   I leaned backwards again to look at the animals and they were still there.   They could not see me because I was well hidden behind several pine trees and I alone had to lean backwards in order to get a view of them.

Of the 4 animals 2 were larger than the other 2.  Both of the larger animals were side by side at the food plot and were squatting down with their torsos between their legs.   One was at least 5 to 5 1/2 foot tall because it stood upright for a brief moment.  I watched as 1 of the smaller animals, about 2-3 foot tall jumped onto the back of one of the larger animals and then the larger animal stood up and took two steps to the left and squatted back down.   The other larger animal to my guess was about 4 to 4 1/2 foot tall by comparing it to the one that stood upright momentarily.    And the last animal was also small about 2 to 3 foot tall.  It appeared that there were 2 young adults and 2 young cubs, kids, pups or whatever you want to call them.   The larger animals were eating at the food plot and you could clearly see the arms reaching into the food plot and then going to the head area.   The  little ones did not appear to eat at the food plot but just played and jumped around.  I watched
one of the small ones jump onto the trunk of a tree about 3 foot up on the trunk and just stay there,  I could see his head and one arm and one leg on the side of the tree.   There was not much neck between the heads and body but you could make out the neck area.   The other small animal ran off to the right about 12-15 foot away from the others and then I could see him clearly from the front of my stand and did not have to lean backwards to watch him.  I watched him for several minutes as he sat on the ground, feet straight out and his toes were pointed straight upwards.   I watched this animal look around and he was scratching his head, back and arms as if he had fleas.

After watching these animals for about 45minutes to an hour the raccoons then came back and were trying to get to the food plot by running around the bigfoot animals.  I watched one coon in an aggressive manor with his head low to the ground and his hind end up in the air and the coon was growling as if he wanted to fight for food.  All at once one of the larger animals and one of the coons started fighting and the coon ran off real quick.  I watched these animals for over 2 hours in the thermal imaging camera.  I grabbed my rifle with the night vision scope mounted on it and I leaned backwards in an attempt to try to get the animals located in the weapon sight.  I was able to see the animals in the scope but it was extremely poor due to the light conditions and I could not make out what part of the animals I was seeing.  I could see something dark in the scope that was moving around but could not make out exactly what I was seeing.  I had to hold the rifle sideways to see through it past the pine trees and it was obvious that the rifle barrel was not clearing the pine trees to take a shot.  Besides I could not tell what I was shooting at because of the poor light.   There was no moon or stars shining throughout the canopy of trees and the cloudy overcast left the woods extremely dark.  The thermal imaging camera worked just fine because it picks up heat only.  I did point the rifle at the young animal off to the side and could see him pretty good and I had a straight shot at him but I did not want to shoot at such a small animal.  I put the rifle down and watched the animals with the thermal imaging camera only until the battery went dead on the camera.   At that time I watched the animals briefly with the Gen III binoculars and could only make them out when they moved.   A short while later the animals disappeared into the night and I do not know which way they went.    I think they left in the opposite direction of where I was sitting because I never heard them approach and I didn't hear them leave.   I watched and waited for 4 more hours until almost daylight and I did not see them again that night.

I know what I saw and there is no doubt in my mind that these animals exist.  I would be lying if I said that I didn't doubt it a little before this night but now there is beyond the shadow of a doubt proof in my mind that they exist.   They are out there and whoever reads this report can write back and ask any questions they want and I will be glad to answer them.    I saw proof of the animals and proof that they mate and produce offspring so there will be mature adults and young animals that can be found or located.
