LOCATION:
Sedgwick, Kansas
TERRAIN:
Trees along river then tall weeds in field
OBSERVED:
Light fog tall lights in background from sewage treatment plant. Myself
and two coworkers were parked along the west side of the river where Boeing
aircraft sewer line crosses the river. This is a secluded area except the
sewer plant which is fenced off with a 8' tall chain link fence.
The three of use were sitting in the step van looking at maps when XXXXX
a man around 60 years old said look, and he was pointing into the field
straight ahead of us. We shut off the dome light so we could see better.
About 100 to 150 yards away was a tall figure. The weeds in this field
were 6' to 7' tall. At first we didn't think that much about it.
XXXXX said maybe someone is carrying someone on their shoulders. But nobody
should have been out there in the first place . There was no way anyone
could get to that area unless they walked up the river in the water. There
is a little road to the sewer line at the river just a two tire path really.
Then we noticed that it was moving towards us fast, to fast to be just
walking through these heavy weeds with 2'' stalks. NOBODY could run
that fast carrying someone on theyre shoulders. The old man said let's
get the hell out of here when it was about 75 yards away from us.
We didnt stick around. We started the van and got the hell outa there.
